    Dear Student:

    Welcome to New Life Community Church International (NLCCI), Bible Institute!

    I want to personally thank you for choosing NLCCI Bible Institute. Each of the administrators, faculty and staff is committed to your spiritual and educational training. NLCCI has been on a journey as mandated by God and is committed to Christian training, educational pursuit and ministry to the total man. This commitment remains the focus until today. In pursuit of this mandate, NLCCI has been established in four countries across world, namely; the United States of America, Canada, England, and here in our homeland, Jamaica. The newest mission given to us by the Lord is the Continent of Asia.

    We are excited about this mission and with a direct order to Develop an Elite Army, we are determined to develop men and women are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but will with boldness, run the race set before them, and Impact the Nations of the World.

    Likewise, for YOU to enlist to serve in this Elite Army you must prepare. Everywhere throughout your life you will find expectations — at home, at work, and at school. NLCCI Bible Institute is a place where you will be prepared for service and you will find that high expectations are placed on our students. This Student Policy Guide is to help you meet those expectations

  • 1.0 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

    New Life Community Church International (NLCCI) Bible Institute aims to prepare An Elite Army for the Kingdom of God, students who are vibrant for Christian living and service, for apostolic ministry in the church and for ministry to a lost world through courses including in–class teaching and practical experiences. The school provides the educational environment, instruction, resources and experience needed by its graduates for effective Christian ministry and church related vocations. As such, our objectives as an institution are:

    To help students gain a mastery of the content and meaning of the Bible

    To encourage students in an awareness of and a complete surrender to God’s will and calling

    To develop in students an intense concern for the salvation of people at home and abroad, and to help students acquire effective personal evangelism skills and an evangelistic lifestyle

    To cultivate in students the habits of obedience, prayer, Bible study and a devotional life as the foundation of all further ministry

    To help students acquire effective study methods and motivation for continued learning throughout life

  • 1.2 PHILOSOPHY

    NLCCI Bible Institute expects its students to accept the principle of ministry. We believe each student has a ministry in the Body of Christ. When a student enters NLCCI Bible Institute, they are preparing for a lifetime of Christian service to Jesus Christ. We are committed to the pursuit of keeping the concept of ministry always before the student.

    Systematic study, service and self–disciplined living in the name of Jesus Christ is fundamental to our students and the programme of the institution.

    NLCCI Bible Institute expects the student’s personal behavior and attitude to be congruent with those of the institute. Applicants indicate by their enrolment that they will contribute to the spiritual health of the student body as a whole. The director reserves the right to terminate the enrolment of any student considered to be out of harmony with the goals, standards, and spirit of the college.

  • NLBI ONLINE is the distance/online learning platform through which New Life Bible Institute offer its courses and programmes. The main learning management systems (LMS) that the Institute will use to offer its courses and programmes online are Google classroom and Zoom.

  • Initially, NLBI will offer the following Developmental Programme online:

    • Certificate in Biblical Studies

    • Short Single Courses

    After our affiliation or collaboration agreement is settled with Institution being pursued, the following programmes will be offered online:

    • Associate Degree in Theology

    • Associate Degree in Christian Leadership

    • Bachelor of Theology

    • Master of Theology

    • Doctor of Theology

  • New Life Bible Institute effective January 2021, will be offering the following courses online:

    1st Year Certificate Courses

    • Word Study Module 101 (Certificate, single course)

    • Introduction to Evangelism (Certificate, single course)

    • Introduction to The Life of Christ (Certificate , single course)

    • Foundation of Our Faith (Certificate, single course)

    • Academic and Research skills (Certificate, single course)

    2nd Year Certificate Courses

    Additional Single Short Courses:

    Students have the option of either doing the full one-year certificate programme or choose to do one or more ( but no more than three) single course at any one time.

  • Prospective students will be considered for admission or acceptance for the full time certificate programme upone the completion and submission of all the following documents:

    NLCCI Bible Institute requires all of the following items at the submission of this application for admission.

    • Applicant must be at least 18 years age (birth certificate)

    • Ability to read and write (complete studies up to primary/elementary level).

    • Type or print in black ink the requested information on this application.

    • Answer all applicable fields on this application Use N/A for areas not applicable.

    • Attach one passport size photograph of applicant.

    • Attach one letter of recommendation from your Pastor or Pastoral supervisor.

    • Attach one reference letter from someone other that a family member e.g. JP/Notary.

    • Attach additional paper for areas requiring more information.

    • Attach your non-refundable application fee of $25 USD (JA $ 3,000)

    • Written statement of Conversion and Christian Experience.

  • There are some essential technical requirements that prospective online students must meet before they are cleared to register for any NLBI ONLINE course or programme. These requirements are as follows:

    • Access to a working laptop or desktop with any of the following operating systems: Windows 10 or Mac OS X (the latest versions)

    • Knowledge of Microsoft WORD or any other Word Processing Software capable of reading and generating WORD formatted documents (.doc/.docx)

    • An updated, modern web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge

    • Consistent internet access with download speed of at least 15 Mbps and upload speed of at least 5 Mbps

    • Microsoft PowerPoint or any other related presentation software

    • Latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for documents in portable document format (PDF)

    • A good quality microphone for use during live Zoom sessions

    • A high-quality video camera connected to a computer to facilitate viewing during live Zoom sessions.

  • Prospective students have the option to apply via conventional paper-based forms, which they must request via email to the Institute’s email. Complete, scan and email to the Institute. The online application form should be filled out in its entirety and submitted.

  • Immediately after the submission of the completed application forms and the supporting documents, the Administrator will verify the documents and make initial contact. The Administrator will then convene and conduct interviews face-to-face or online via the Zoom or Whatsapp. The decision of the Admissions Committee will be communicated to the applicant via the Administrator. If the decision is affirmative, the accepted student will be required to pay the tuition and fees that are outlined in the latest copy of NLBI’s fee structure. Registration is deemed complete after the submission of proof of payment of tuition and fees. Students will receive an electronic letter of confirmation.

  • The costs for each semester include tuition and other fees (such as registration fee, library fee [including JAMCOPY fee] and maintenance fee). NLBI students pay tuition each semester based on the number of credits that they will be taking. On average, a NLBI Online student will take at least 18 - 21 credits during the regular semesters (September to December and January to April and May to July).

    The cost per courses:

    • The cost for a single course is J$10,000 (US$75) per term.

    • The full certificate programme is J$42,000 (US$270) per year

    • The cost for Audit students are JA$15,000 (US$100). See details below.

  • NLBI is working on having an online portal for the online payment of tuition and fees. The portal will be accessible soon. International students are required to make payments via MoneyGram or international wire transfer or via the online portal when it becomes available for use. Proof of payment must be submitted to the Business Office. Jamaican residents are required to make payments at any branch of the National Commercial Bank. Account numbers may be obtained from the Institute.

  • Students will be able to do quizzes and submit projects/assessments via the Google Classroom platform for most NLBI ONLINE courses. Specific instructions will be given by the respective course facilitators. The Institute is in the process of determining the way forward regarding the administration of written final exams. A few options are being considered, including the use of proctors. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.

  • The Certificate Programme is not accredited as it is being offered as pre-requisite to the higher-level learning courses, but it is subjected to the same rigorous standards as the accredited programmes. However, the higher-level programmes to be offered are accredited. Therefore, anyone who completes this certificate should be confident that it is as robust as the other accredited programmes that NLBI will offer.

  • The Institute will allow students who are not fully enrolled in any of its programmes to access and complete some of its courses as audit students for developmental and other personal purposes. These students must go through the application process but would not necessarily be interviewed.

    The cost for Audit students are JA$15,000 (US$100). Audit students are not required to sit final exams but will complete assignments.

  • Yes, students of NLBI are required to be online at institutionally scheduled times. However, one of the hallmarks of NLBI’s online courses and programmes is flexibility. Our use of the Google Classroom platform allows for such flexibility and asynchronous access. Students can access their course content and assignments at any time via the NLBI ONLINE portal. However, a lecturer may require that all students who are taking a course be available for a synchronous class session. The date and time would be determined by both the facilitator and the students via email or some other means of communication.

  • For the certificate programme, the semesters will run as follows:

    Semester 1: January 03 – March 31

    Semester II: April 11 – June 30

    Semester III: September 05 – November 30

  • Our cadre of teachers are Pastors and Leaders from our own Organization as well as guest lecturers who are leaders in other religious organizations.
